As part of its mission to bridge the worlds of sports and crypto, the Chiliz Group is launching Chiliz Sports – an independent division that will focus on leveraging the Group’s position as a pioneer in the SportFi ecosystem and its unparalleled network in sports and tech to explore synergies and foster business opportunities for both industries.
The Chiliz Group laid the foundations for the relationship between sports and blockchain in 2018 with the launch of the Socios.com platform and the first Fan Tokens. These digital utility assets have become a powerful tool for fan engagement and monetization, with over 70 organizations across nine sport verticals relying on them to grow, engage with, and reward their digital communities.
In 2023, Chiliz took a further step in its mission with the launch of the Chiliz Chain. The Sports Blockchain currently hosts a growing ecosystem of over 150 brands and organizations from sports, crypto, and beyond, all of which work together to drive and promote innovation.

The new entity will be led by Daniel Maglietta, Football Commercial Director at Chiliz, who has facilitated several significant partnerships involving top European sport properties and major crypto brands.
